Installation Joomla !

Before installing Joomla! We must first install Apache, MySQL, and PHP. We do not need to install one by one the software and configure it, because it will be complicated. On the internet there for all three software packages on top of which was made in a single package of XAMPP, and can be downloaded for free.

Step - step install XAMPP:
1. Download XAMPP package-win32-1.6.6a-installer (for windows), for other operating systems besides windows also exist, we can see in www.apachefriends.org / en / xampp-windows.html or in www.sourceforge.net or Download here.

2. After the XAMPP package we've got it downloaded and double-click on the XAMPP package file, then after that we will see a display of XAMPP 1.6.6a win32 (Basic Package)

3. Then we click Next, then we will see a display window for the selection of the folder

4. To allow the selection of the folder window as they are alone (leave it as default) is already in the set on the folder c: \ xampp. Then click Next.

5. To view window XAMPP Option, leave it as default, then click Next

6. Xampp 1.6.6a After installation is complete, then we click the Finish button

7. After Click the Finish button or let the program open the Display Window Launch the XAMPP Control Panel

8. Once we see the display window XAMPP Control Panel XAMPP to run the application then we click the Start button on each of the Apache and MySQL so that the status of Running.

9. And has Done for XAMPP installation. Next we can install Joomla!
Step - step Install Joomla!

After we finished the previous Installation XAMPP then the next step is to install Joomla!. But here we will install Joomla! Stable version is version 1.5.2 which can be downloaded at www.jommla.org or download here. Although currently existing Joomla! The latest version is version 1.6.3 which can be downloaded from www.joomla.org or download here.

1. Create a new folder to put files Joomla! We are going to install, for example folder name my-joomla. Folder that we make must be at the location c: \ xampp \ htdocs. Because when we run http://localhost/my-joomla on the browser (mozilla or explorer) then the program will run properly.

2. Extract the package Joomla! That we downloaded and put the results on my-joomla folder that we have made earlier.

3. Then open your browser (mozilla or explorer) and type in the addresses http://localhost/my-joomla,

4. So we'll see the Choose Language, choose a language-en-GB English (United Kingdom) and then click Next at the top right

5. In the display window to inform the Pre-installation Check the settings in need by Joomla! Then click the Next button

6. In the view license window Joomla! Specifies that Joomla! Is an opensource application with the license GNU / GPL. Then Click Next

7. In the Display Database window, we will configure the database:

• Database type: mysql
BASIC SETTINGS
• Hostname: localhost
• Username: root (root is the highest degree of user
  in a computer system)
• Password: blank
• Database name: dbgw (up to you)

When finished click Next.

8. In the display window of the FTP configuration, for the windows operating system on the option Enable FTP File System Layer we select NO, then click Next.

9. In the display window of the Configuration page, we fill it with:

SITE NAME
• Site Name: for example, automotive (name of site)

EMAIL and CONFIRM ADMIN PASSWORD
• Your Email: for example, dolank301@gmail.com (address
  Your e-mail)
• Admin password: eg, Padlock
• Confirm admin password: Padlock

Load Sample Data, Restore or Migrate Back Up Content
Choose the option Install Default Sampe Data and click the Install button at the bottom of these options. So Joomla! Will installing sample data. Then Click Next

10. Installation Joomla! Complete
But we will not be able to enter the page Joomla! Installation directory if it still exists, this is a security consideration of the Joomla! Installation directory can be viewed in the c: \ xampp \ my-joomla then we have to delete these direct.
